Bespoke Poets of Louisiana

The Poetry Society of Louisiana (Hereafter referred to as PS.o.L  and pronounced with a silent P – “sol”/ ”soul”) is a not-for-profit organization which exists to foster, generate, and promote literary excellence and the role of poetry in the life of Louisiana’s diverse communities. With an ear tuned to vivid effect, fullness of thought, emotional dynamism, and language that brims, PS.o.L . intends to employ readings, publications, contests, community outreach, and an interactive presence on the web to achieve these ends. 

Statement of Communal Commitment

PS.o.L  seeks to champion all of Louisiana’s oral and print-based poets. PS.o.L  will act at all times in behalf of and with respect for all ethnicities and genders regardless of sexual identification or religious affiliation. Malicious or harmful speech will not be tolerated within PS.o.L  ‘s sponsored publications, websites, or events.

PS.o.L  is committed to bringing the voices of Louisiana poets and writers to light and, therefore, will not accept or promote writing generated by artificial intelligence.
